Caregiver Program

Do you feel overwhelmed caring for yourself and a loved one?

ElderCare Edmonton’s Caregiver Support Program provides multiple support options to caregivers of seniors who have barriers to community participation. All supports are focused on empowering caregivers, reducing social isolation and reducing the stress which leads to burnout and to the institutionalization of their fragile loved ones.  Our Caregiver Support Program also partners with the Alberta Caregivers Association for group support.

Services Provided

Home Visits:
To provide a comprehensive assessment of client and caregiver needs with an emphasis on caregiver stress and present support systems available.

Support, Referral and Follow up:
The Caregiver Support Manager will provide ongoing support to the caregiver and his/her family in the areas of need.  The Manager is also willing to provide education sessions if the interest arises.
